And who is better in speech than he who invites to Allah and does righteous deeds, and says: 'I am one of the Muslims. [Qur'an, Sūrah Fussilat (41):33] Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching and argue with them in the best of manners. [Qur'an, Sūrah Āl `Nahl: 125] You are the best of nations brought forth for humanity. You call to what is right and forbid what is wrong. [Qur'an, Sūrah Āl `Imrān: 110] Let there arise from you a band of people who invite to what is good, enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong. These are the successful ones. [Qur'an, Sūrah Āl `Imrān: 104] |
Narrated Abu Hurairah (ra) Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "if anyone calls others to follow right guidance, his reward will be equivalent to those who follow him (in righteousness) without their reward being diminished in any respect on that account; and if anyone invites others to follow error, the sin, of which he is guilty, will be equivalent to those of the people who follow him (in sinfulness) without their sins being diminished in any respect on that account. Calling people to Islam as well as enjoining them to what is right and forbidding what is wrong is a duty upon all Muslims as well as it being a great opportunity to gain reward. The evidence for this comes from the above texts. You can also join the effort in spreading the message and god willing you will also benefit by way of Sadaqhah-Jariyah. Introduce Islam to others by referring your family, friends and work colleagues to this website. It is also one of the best mediums to use if you are not confident enough to give daw'ah face to face or do not feel you have the necessary knowledge to have a debate with a non-Muslim.
